I personally think that once a year is not enough to celebrate the special day of one's birth. So, in our house, we celebrate our half birthdays (we also get a "birthday week" during the week that our birthday falls, but you'll hear more about that in September!).
TODAY IS LOGAN'S FIRST HALF BIRTHDAY! He is six months old today!! I made him a hat and gave him a balloon and let him eat Hawaiian Delight for supper (instead of his regular vegetables).
When I sang "Happy Birthday" to him, he got the biggest grin on his face like he actually knew what I was singing and was so proud. As you can see, Logan was pretty tuckered out from all the partying.
I can't believe that's it's been 6 months since he was born. What an amazing joy and blessing Logan has been to our lives. We praise the Lord for our little boy and we pray that he will realize how special he is, and we also pray that one day, he does amazing work for the Lord's church.

Logan -- what are you up to at six months old?
*You love to roll all over the place
*You weigh 18.5 pounds
*"Momma" was your first word and you say it a lot
*40 minutes at a time is never too long for you to spend in your Jumperoo
*Your skin is so soft and you love to reach out to touch our faces (we are trying to teach you to be gentle!)
*You love to give kisses and have recently started giving Eskimo kisses (mommy's favorite)
*You are on a pretty good routine. You wake up most mornings between 5:30 - 6:00 a.m.
*You've recently started wearing size 9-month sleepers
*A lot of times when we are holding you, you grab our bottom lip (this kinda hurts!)
*You are a flirt! At the babysitter, your nickname is "flirty baby." If there is a pretty girl around, you love to flash your smile
*You have two teeth
*Most nights, you sleep all the way through
*You usually take 2 - 3 naps a day and you are really good about resting on the weekends and you completely understand our need for a Sunday afternoon nap
*Often when you sleep, you pull the covers over your head
*When someone calls to talk to you, you just want to eat the phone
*You make our life complete. You are the blessing that we prayed for over and over. We loved you before we knew you and we are so thankful that you are in our lives. You were meant to be our son. God made you for our family.
