Field Trip: Pizza Hut

A couple weeks ago, I went with Logan on a field trip to Pizza Hut.  Before the field trip, I was able to spend an hour in his class, observing.

It is such a blessing that Logan attends a school where they teach the Bible!!  

They were learning to look up different books of the Bible. 

He was so excited about being at Pizza Hut! 

We toured the facility, and then we got to make our own pizzas!!! 

We had such a great time, and I am so thankful that I was able to go with him! 

We Got a New Toy

It's very nice when a "toy" serves a purpose like mowing the lawn!!  Zeb and Logan had a blast using our new lawn mower today.  

If you recall, we moved into our new house in October, so we had little time to get to know our house out-doors.  We are enjoying our very big yard and we feel so very, very blessed!!! 

"Bro"

We took Logan to the park on Saturday.  It was a lovely day.  

That afternoon, he started referring to Zeb as "Bro."  Everything was "okay, Bro," and "sure, Bro."  We thought it was adorable but has no idea where it came from.  So, we asked him.  

Apparently, he fell at the park and an older boy helped him up and cleaned the mulch off of him and that boy called him "bro."  And so it is.

And it just tickles me. 

To Remeber: Our Malaysian Homeguest

This is one of those posts that I originally did weeks ago, but I lost it. 

A few weeks back, we were able to host a medical doctor from Malaysia.  It was arranged through my job.  Dr. Jean stayed with us for two nights. 

We enjoyed hearing about her home country - she works at a clinic in the jungle!! She told us stories about pythons and different foods and drinks and what it's like to serve people who have no electricity and no running water. 

On the second night, we went to an Asian Fusion restaurant.  It was out of my comfort zone, but Logan and Zeb loved it!

Logan is very hospitable.  After Dr. Jean had been at our house for about an hour, he asked if he could sleep with her that night!

We watched a movie and Logan snuggled right up next to her and she loved it.  It warmed my heart to see this little boy be so open and welcoming.  I hope he always maintains that trait! 

It was a good experience for all three of us.  It was such a blessing! 

New Neighborhood

We took a walk around our new neighborhood last night.  I must admit, it's not as exciting as the trail in our old neighborhood.  But we'll get used to it.  

Charlie was in heaven. Logan was just excited to be outside.

Surprise Lunch

When I picked Logan up from school yesterday, I said "I have a surprise for you.  I'm taking you out to lunch!!"  And he was so excited. 

He picked Cracker Barell.  Because he wanted to get a toy. On the way there, he said "Mom, do you feel like buying me a toy?"  And I replied, "yes!  I do want to buy you a toy."  And he kept saying "mom, you don't have to buy me a toy if you don't want to.  It's fine if you don't have the money."  Of course, I bought him a toy.  He chose a cross bow.

It was a good day.  He said, "we've never done this before!"  I said, "thanks for going on a date with me."  He said, "it wasn't a date.  Well, it can be a date if you want it to."  I do. 

Lost Tooth

I have attempted to post several different things, and I'm losing all of them!  Here's to hoping this one posts!
