Disney, the end of the trip

Here's the thing...the Disney Trip this year wasn't all we hoped it would be.  As a matter of fact, it feels like it didn't even happen.  I'm terribly disappointed by that fact. But, it did happen, and I want to wrap up my summary of our time.

As the week went on, Zeb was able to do more, but still wasn't 100%.

We ultimately did visit all four parks, which is something we don't always accomplish.   Animal Kingdom was torture for me - it is always SO hot there.
We did spend more time at the pool this year.  It was nice to come back from vacation with a slight tan.

All week long, Logan wantedhis caricature made, so finally on the last night, we had it done.  It was so worth it. I didn't really think it looked like him, but when he saw it, he was overjoyed, and that was amazing.  I love seeing life through his eyes.

A big deal this time - since Logan is seven now, he was able to ride the Buzz Lightyear ride by himself.  So, Zeb & I sat in th car behind him.  He absolutely loved having the ride all to himself.  Zeb and I were a little sad.

All in all, it's Disney, which made it great.  I'm just sorry we had more than our share of troubles on this trip!!!

Logan's birthday evening

On the night of Logan's birthday, we ate at Be Our Guest, per his request.  It was a good date-night for just me & him. During dinner, he made a card for the Beast, and gave it to him later, so that the Beast would not be so mad all the time.

Due to a scheduling issue, Logan wasn't able to have a cake the night of his birthday.  He was so disappointed, but contained his emotions.

Later, we rode a couple rides and then headed back to the hotel.  It was a good day.  And I just cannot believe he's SEVEN!!!!

Disney - Days 3 & 4

I tend to not blog about things that I'd rather forget.  But I know someday I'll be able to look back and laugh at the "Vaction that was Not" of 2015.

Monday night, I started to feel the pains of a kidney stone.  I suffered through the night and Tuesday morning, I could no longer bear the pain, so we headed to the hospital.  The funny thing - we had purchased the vacation insurance through Dinsey (we do this every year - I love insurance.). Anyways, due to protocol of using their insurance, we had to be taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

I felt silly, but mostly just wanted some relief.  So, they wheeled me on a stretcher through the lobby of the hotel into the ambulance and off we went.  A few minutes into the ride, I hear a sweet little voice say "mom, I'm right here."  Logan was riding in the back. So brave.  So scared for his mama.

Once we got to the hospital, Logan did start to tear up because he wasn't sure what they were going to do to me.  There is no sweeter boy in all the world.

So, while I was there being treated, I made Zeb get checked out because he was having trouble breathing.  Turned out, he has bronchitis.

The rest of the day, we just slept in our hotel room.  Logan was a trooper.  I have no idea what he did that day - maybe the Magic Kingdom?!?!

On Wednesday, Logan's birthday - one of the happiest days of my life to celebrate - Zeb was bed-ridden.  So, Logan and I were on our own.

{Logan took this pic}

I'm going to stop for now because that's a lot of pictures.  I'll post more at another time!!!
