Vacation

We were on vacation last to Tennessee!!! We had such a great time. We are definitely not the type of people who relax on vacation though, so we are all wore out! Logan was so tired he slept until 8:30 on Saturday morning upon our return. I'm not exaggerating when I write that he has NEVER slept this late!!!

Here is Logan on our trip there. We kept telling him that we were going to Tennessee, but honestly, he had no idea what that meant. The first few days, he kept saying, "This not Tennessee!" Obviously, it wasn't what he expected (whatever that was!). The first day, we went to Dollywood. It was the first time that Logan rode rides, but he did great.

He even rode this roller coaster!!!

Logan was so excited to ride the big train at Dollywood, but we sat too close to the front and he thought the whistle was too loud. We ended up riding again later in the week, and he enjoyed it a lot more sitting in the back.

Before the train started, Logan yelled out "All Aboard!" And he was so excited when the conductor actually yelled that, too. Our little boy LOVES trains!

Here he is doing his "hooo, hooo," train whistle to get us started:

In Pigeon Forge, there is a Dinosaur ride. Since Logan likes dinosaurs, we decided to take him on the ride. As soon as it started, he said, "I don't like this!" So, we spent the next 10 minutes trying to calm him down. But wouldn't you know, the rest of the week, he kept asking to go on that ride!

We went to the Bass Pro Shop, where Logan was so excited to get his picture taken with this moose!

We went to the Dixie Stampede:

We spent some time in Gatlinburg:

We also went to the water park, where I didn't take any pictures and we went to Cade's Cove 2 days, but we used our other camera for those pictures. I'll post pictures of the bears that we saw later.

The best thing about being on vacation together is the constant one-on-one time that we rarely get to experience. I love getting to know our little boy better and better and watching him grow and develop and figure out what he likes and doesn't like. He's so funny and fun-loving and just a joy to be around. We had such a great time.
