This morning, I was so tired and did not want to be at work and was wondering how I was ever going to make it through the day....when I got a call from the Social Worker! Yes, it's true! A birthmother picked us to adopt her baby.
Our little boy, Logan, is due on October 6, which happens to be my birthday! (We are reserving the right to change his name once we meet him, but for now, it's Logan.) We are so excited and today has pretty much been a blur to us.
Please keep in mind that we know that the birthmother has the legal right to change her mind any time before she signs the papers, but we are just going to enjoy this time. We know what "could" or "might" happen, but we are leaving this in the Lord's hands. We are so excited and we are going to enjoy the excitement.
We are requesting everyone's prayers...tell everyone you know to pray for us! Pray for the birthmother, for the baby and for us. In some ways, it doesn't seem like it's that far away, but in other ways, it feels like it's just around the corner (we have so much to do!).
We went to Babies R Us tonight and were completely lost. We have no idea what we need (we have nothing so far!), and I'm very indecisive, so I can't even begin to choose a bib...let alone a whole crib and crib set! We are very excited (how many times I have written that so far?) about becoming parents and we can't wait until we have him in our arms and we can introduce our son to the world!

Hey Amy and Zeb! We are beyond words excited for you guys! I can't wait till our children can meet! Let us know if there is anything you need, we want to be there for you guys even though we live far away! It looks like it could potentially be a photo finish as to which one of our babies arrive first! Ready, set, go! Keep us posted and Congratulations!
I can not even begin to say how excited I am for the two of you!!!! Jared just told me the knews. He was browsing blogs and saw your announcement. How cool that the due date is you birthday. We will definately keep you in our prayers!!!!!!!!!!! God has this in his hands. I just can't say enough how excited I am for you. I know you guys will make wonderful parents. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
